Our Story

It all started with a Super Like!

In May of 2021, Nathan and I met online on my 40th birthday. Since I was newly single and it was my birthday I decided to reactivate my Tinder profile, if nothing else, just for some birthday attention. Nathan caught my eye and I swiped right. I did not find out until later but Nathan told me he only had the courage to message me because I had "Super Liked" him. Little did he know that I most certainly did not super like him on purpose because that is just not my style. But the universe had already done its job, we met in person just 5 days later. I knew he was someone special after our very first date. We often joke about the accidental super like and how that started our relationship but I personally think it was fate. We spent the next 3 years slowly building our lives together. We knew it was very important for our kids to be comfortable with our relationship before making any big changes. In May of 2024 we moved in together and it has been wonderful. Our kids have adjusted better than we could have hoped for and we truly cherish all of the moments we get to have as a blended family. Almost a year after moving in together, Nathan surprised me at our family Easter and proposed!! I was shocked that Nathan, being the quiet and shy guy he is, managed to propose in front of the whole family. It couldn't have been more perfect for our parents, our children, siblings, nieces and nephews on my Dad's side of the family to be there for such a special moment in our lives. We are so incredibly excited to share the next big moment of our lives with all of those we love on our wedding day!!!
