Friend of the Bride: Maddie and Katie met three years ago, both on staff at Camp Gray for the first time. It was an instant friendship once winning an air hockey tournament and they have been inseparable ever since. Adventuring all over the Midwest, traveling to Washington D.C., and times at Camp have been just a few of the fondest memories these two share. Truly becoming members of each others families over the last few years, there was no better choice for Maid of Honor.
Joseph Heit
Best Man
Brother of the Groom: Joseph and Nathan have known each other Nathan's entire life. Joseph is Nathan's older brother. This gave Nathan a personal chauffeur once Joseph got his license, or at least Nathan thought so. Today they spend time together vacationing in warmer climates and have a shared vested interest in Camp Gray. Joseph worked there for 9 years and Nathan is attempting to catch him being there for 6 years now.
Emily Gignac

Friend of the Bride: Emily and Katie have been friends since 2014 when meeting each other the day they signed a lease to live together. Emily and Katie quickly found many common interests in faith, dogs, and television shows and even had some classes together. Anyone that knows the bride can attribute her love of coffee to Emily- she didn't even drink coffee before living with her! Even though they rarely see each other, they still talk on an almost weekly basis and have remained very close friends.
Kevin Foster
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom: Kevin and Nathan have known each other since 2013 when Nathan joined the fire department. Kevin was firefighter 21 and Nathan 22 so their lockers are right next to each other. Working in similar fields and always having projects around their homes they quickly became friends. They have successfully remodeled one home together and are working on their second.
Lyndsey Winchel

Sister of the Bride: Lyndsey and Katie have known each other Katie's whole life. Although Lyndsey is the older sister, Katie quickly became the bigger sister reaching Lyndsey's height by fourth grade. Since then, Lyndsey has fondly been referred to as the big little sister. They have shared many good times at their grandparents cabin in Canada and vacations to Florida, recently completing a half marathon together at Disney World. Lyndsey is Katie's oldest and most supportive friend, consistently being there for Katie's big moments.
Gerald Gaudet

Friend of the Groom: Gerald and Nathan have known each other for over 20 years. Gerald moved to Cottage Grove in the fifth grade and they have been friends ever since. After high school they both chose to join the military, Nathan the smarter choice of the Army and Gerald the Marines. They both served for eight years and once out they lived next door to each other in Delton. Gerald is back in Cottage Grove but they still see each other on a regular basis.
Nicole Davis

Sister of the Groom: Nicole and Katie have known each other since Katie's days as a camper at Camp Gray, but didn't get to know each other until Katie was on staff and helping out with Family Camp. When Nathan finally broke the news to his family that he and Katie were dating, Nicole claimed she already knew. It has been a fun year of getting to know each other, both having sarcastic attitudes in order to hold their own around the Heit family. When Katie called Nicole to tell her about the engagement, Nicole exclaimed that she was excited to finally have a sister and Katie is excited to gain one more.
Darren Jorgenson
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom: Darren, Chief of Delton Fire, and Nathan have known each other since Nathan joined the department in 2013. Nathan avoiding the leadership as much as possible avoided Darren until they found themselves working on a toy house for the fire department in Darren's garage. A couple kitchens, picture booth, fire truck and table later they have become great friends. Darren as an ex police officer and Nathan ex military they enjoy sharing similar stories and working on wood projects in the garage. It doesn't take them long to finish a case of Miller Lite when they get together.
