How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The address for the Culinary Vegetable Institute is 12304 Mudbrook Road, Milan, OH, 44846. The entrance is easy to miss. Please turn in at the wooden carving of a chef and follow the gravel road back to the property. We will also have a shuttle bus going to and from downtown Sandusky. More info to come.

Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

There is ample parking at the venue. Follow the gravel drive into the property and the parking lot is located right next to the main building.

Will I have to pay for parking?

There is no charge for parking.

What should I wear?

Answer

We are planning an outdoor lawn ceremony (weather permitting) and tented reception. Dress is semi-formal and should be comfortable for the temperature. The vibe will be traditional but not overly-fancy.

Is there a dress code?

There is no formal dress code. Semi-formal but comfortable for an outdoor event. Please see "What should I wear?" above.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on the lawn, and the reception will be tented and outdoors as well. You may want to leave the stilettos at home.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Outside of our immediate family members and those involved in the wedding, this will be an adults only affair. If you are traveling from out of town and need local suggestions for child care, please reach out to Adam or Nathan directly.

Please honor your invitation as addressed. If your invitation included an "and guest" then we invite you to bring a date.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Please visit the Travel page here on this site. We have arranged a small hotel block and included a link to other rentals near the hotel. We are encouraging anyone interested in nightlife to stay in downtown Sandusky where there is plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby without the need to drive. Otherwise there is a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Milan, OH.

We will have a cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony and then transition right into the reception.

We will have a beef and chicken option to choose on your RSVP as well as a write in section where you can include any other dietary restrictions. The venue specializes in their vegetable gardens and will create delicious accompaniments to the main course.

The reception at CVI will end at 10pm. We will determine an after party location for anyone not ready to end the celebration.

Of course, but please respect the professional photographer that we have hired and stay clear of their shots and out of the aisle during the ceremony.
