Nicole's favorite brunch spot! A bit hard to find, you will want to look for "Inside" lettering in the doorway. While seating is limited, there is delicious food with homemade sauces, cocktails (Nicole loves the passion fruit "maracuya" mezcal margarita) and coffee + great ambiance with options for those with dietary restrictions. We like to to sit up on the rooftop terrace.
Nate's favorite brunch spot! Lavanda is among the town's highest-rated breakfast cafés, boasting two convenient locations. It's an ideal spot for those seeking an early morning breakfast experience with a selection of delectable pastries and freshly brewed coffee. Be prepared for the cozy indoor seating area, which can fill up quickly during peak hours. However, they offer the convenience of a walk-up window for on-the-go coffee orders. Please note it is cash only.

Quince Rooftop continually ranks as one of the world's best rooftop bars, in part because you're shoulder to shoulder with Colonial and neo-Gothic architecture as you sip a cocktail or enjoy sushi. For a quieter vibe, arrive early in the evening or for lunch—there’s also an all-day Sunday brunch—because, after dark, international DJs spin music. Reservation recommended.
If you're short on time or want to get oriented, a great way to fit in all the must-see spots is to take a walking tour of the city. You'll be immediately charmed by the town's cobblestone streets, beautifully carved doors and rich history. Tours leave every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from El Jardín across from the main church at 10 A.M. The two-hour tour covers a 10-block area around the city center and costs a donation of $400 pesos. Donations support the work of Patronato Pro Ninos, an organization that has provided dental and medical care, for 54 years, to children and teens of the neediest families within the community and outlying areas.
