Hotel
This is the hotel directly above the reception venue. We will be staying here and most of the wedding party too. We recommend booking a room here so that you'll be close the center of the action! The Wharf is a great area to chill out in between the big events. This room block gives you a discount on a more expensive King Den rooms. If the block is full or you would like a cheaper option at this hotel you may want to try booking a room outside of the wedding block. The last day to book in this block is Aug. 8, but there should still be plenty of rooms at the hotel.
Hotel
This hotel shares a pool deck with the Hyatt House at The Wharf next door. Still very close to the action!
Hotel
This Hyatt hotel is the farthest of the three options from the reception site. It is between the National Mall and The Wharf (where the reception will be held). Each is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. This link above will enable you to book your rooms under the wedding block guaranteed rate for 09/07/2018 – 09/08/2018 This rate is available until the cut-off date 08/07/2018 or once the block is filled. You may also call the reservations department at 1-800-993-4031 and ask for Rider/Hymer Wedding Group or Group Code G-RIDE.
Hotel
If the wedding block at your desired hotel is full, please contact us! We can expand the hotel blocks, as long as there is overall availability at the hotel! Natalie (502-435-6384)/Nathan (302-841-3635)
Travel Note
The Wharf offers a SW Neighborhood Shuttle that is free and open to the public. With daily service and 10-minute headways, it’s easy and convenient to take the shuttle from The Wharf to the National Mall, with stops at L’Enfant Plaza each way.
Travel Note
There are lots of ways to get around the city but Uber might be the most traveler friendly. Use the link above to download the app before you get here and you'll get $5 off your first ride (and we get a bonus too - consider it another little wedding gift!)
Travel Note
Probably the most fun way to get around short distances are the LimeScooters and LimeBikes -- Use this link to download the app and get a few free rides on us!
Train
If you want the real DC experience, DC Metro and Busses are a cheaper way to go longer distances (about $2 per trip depending on distance). We both use the train to get back and forth to work every day! You can buy a card ahead of time online or at any CVS or Metro stop once you get here.
Travel Note
Rent a house or apartment as an affordable and fun alternative!
