We're Gettin married!

Travel is a fun aspect of our relationship; we loved travel before we met each other, and now love exploring the world together. A destination wedding can seem like a crazy notion, but the idea of our friends and family joining us for an adventure overseas felt like an opportunity that could not be passed up. Because her mom was a flight attendant, Christie was fortunate enough to have international airfare when she was in college, so she made her first trip to Italy when she was 19 and couldn't get enough after that. She met her cousin in Milan, then Florence, then Venice. She crashed her bridesmaid Jessie's studying abroad program in Florence; they adventured in Chianti and Cinque Terre. She went to Rome and Positano with her mom when graduating college. During each trip, Christie would wander around the cobblestone streets, indulging in her third Pistachio gelato of the day, daydreaming about a romance in Italy and wondering who she would end up with- and now she gets to marry the love of her life in that exact magical place. Nate was 13 when he first went to Italy and has been trying to cover every corner of the country since. In college, he studied abroad in Rome and was fortunate to be able to parlay both the beginning and end of the trip into additional family vacations. He fell in love with discovering the ancient city, stumbling into gelateria and ancient ruins - both as frequent and historically significant as the other. Nate fell in love with La Dolce Vita and is excited to share that culture with his friends, family, and future wife next September. So you can see - Italy was a fairly easy choice. We had both been lucky enough to experience the country several times independently and then more recently in 2018, together. The streets, the food, the atmosphere; Italy feels like home and it is a place we think everyone should experience.
