Travel Note
FYI, Hwy 84 is a windy mountainous road that many find intimidating. That being said, for those coming in from Tuo Co it will be a familiar feel. There are many turnouts along the road where you can let people pass or can hyperventilate for a few minutes. Really it’s not that bad, but if you’re new to mountain roads and are worried about it, shoot us and email or text and we’ll talk about how to get you here. There’s always Hwy 92, which only adds about 20 min to your trip.
Travel Note
We’ll be parking at the La Honda Lake (“Reflection Lake” on Google). It’s at the corner of Laguna Drive and Entrada Way. The actual ceremony and reception are a short and beautiful 3-5 minute walk away on pavement. If you have any mobility issues please let us know ahead of time and we’ll arrange to shuttle you from the lake to the Playbowl.
Flight
San Francisco International airport is these closest and likely cheapest airport to fly in from. However, you can also check for deals to Oakland or San Jose. It’s about an hour drive from SFO to La Honda with no traffic...but be aware there can be insane traffic in San Mateo area depending on the time of day. Let us know when you’re getting in if you want to try to rideshare.

While there are no hotels in La Honda, there are several State and County Parks within 20 minutes that you can camp at.

Since the closest hotels are 30+ min away, you may want to look into AirBnB. There are some affordable, nearby options that are pretty cool. Availability does vary.
