Nate and Alexa's journey began during the first week of school at The University of Tampa in 2015, when they recognized each other from a Lightning game they had attended the night before. They quickly became best friends and study buddies for four years, as Nate tried his best to keep up with Alexa in their grueling pre-medical coursework. Sadly 2019 arrived, and after graduation they had to go their separate ways — Nate began his journey with the U.S. Army and Alexa began her journey in a Master's program to become a Physician Assistant. Thankfully, this was all part of God's plan, as their hearts grew closer together even when life was pulling them farther away. In 2022, after nearly four years of navigating long distances, Nate and Alexa finally climbed to their own summit — both literally and figuratively. They got engaged at the breathtaking Garden of the Gods and celebrated their commitment atop Pikes Peak at 14,115 feet, surrounded by their families and closest friends, who then joined them in skiing down the world-renowned slopes of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Now as we find ourselves in 2025, Nate and Alexa are ready to embrace new beginnings in the most significant year of their lives. As Alexa winds down her time in Oklahoma with the U.S. Air Force, it is finally time to pack their bags (and their Golden Retriever puppy, Mr. Buddy!) for the Sunshine State — they have a big move and a marriage to celebrate! On November 22nd, Nate and Alexa will officially plant their roots back in Tampa on the beautiful beach of The Don CeSar, surrounded by everybody they love. After ten years of moving around the country, praying for the day they would finally settle down together, their new adventure will begin in the same city where they started... just the way God intended when he made this match in Heaven!
