Mendhi: Sundresses, Slacks & Shirts or Lighter Indian Clothes Mehndi ceremony is a way of wishing the bride good health & prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. It utilizes natural medicinal herbal remedies, cooling the body & relieving the Bride of stress before her big day. Additionally, the family come together to celebrate the bride through dances, games, & songs! Haldhi: Summer Semi - Formal (Please wear yellow). This will be outside & involve getting dirty so come wearing something you don't mind getting dirty! Haldi ceremony is where the couple is smeared with turmeric paste followed by a ceremonial bath. The turmeric is considered holy, auspicious & brings peace & prosperity to the couple. Sangeet: Cocktail Attire or Festive Indian Attire Sangeet is where the party begins! It includes dances & songs performed by relatives & friends with an open dance floor to commemorate the festivities for the following days. Wedding + reception: Formal or Indian formal
