The Mehndi (henna) ceremony is a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. Applying Mehndi utilizes its natural medicinal herbal remedies, cooling the body and relieving the Bride of any stress before her big day. Additionally, members of the family come together to celebrate the bride through dances, games, and songs!

Summer Semi - Formal (Please wear white or yellow)
This will be outside and involve getting dirty so come wearing something you don't mind getting dirty! The Haldi ceremony is one of the pre-wedding rituals of Hindu weddings where the couple is smeared with turmeric paste followed by a ceremonial bath. The turmeric itself is considered holy and auspicious and is said to bring peace and prosperity to the couple while keeping evil eyes at bay.

The Sangeet is where the party begins. The word Sangeet translates to ‘sung together’ from Sanskrit. This celebration includes dances and songs performed by relatives and friends of the Bride and Groom and an open dance floor to commemorate the festivities for the following days. Feel free to bring children to this event!
