FAQs

We are so happy that you will be celebrating with us on our special day! Our team of vendors and catering team have partnered with us to take the necessary precautions to keep our guests safe. Along with regular FAQs, below are some of the steps we are taking so we can all celebrate and have a great time together!
Question

Is your wedding still happening?

Answer

Yes!

Question

What precautions are you taking?

Answer

Our best practices include: ● All staff will be wearing face masks when interacting with the guests. ● All bartenders will serve directly from the bar so that only one person is touching the glass. All drinks, except for the pre-set water glass, at the table, will be served in disposable barware from the bar. ● Guests will be required to wear masks when walking among the Inn (to and from the bathroom, etc.). ● Ceremony seating will be limited to 6 guests per row based on the table you're seated at for dinner. ● Dinner tables will be spaced 6ft apart vs. the standard 4 ft. ● We have reduced the number of guests seated at each table from the standard number of 8-10 guests to 6 guests per table.

Question

What are you expecting of your guests?

Answer

We are asking our guests to: ● Do your best to keep social distancing and respect the guidelines that are put in place so that everyone will feel comfortable. ● Limit the number of people at a table to 6. ● Celebrate and have a wonderful time!!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 26, 2020

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 5:00pm. We ask that you please arrive by 4:45pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

The invitations have been addressed to the guests invited. Please respect our decision to limit plus ones in order to adhere to the safety guidelines.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please respect our decision to make this an adults-only wedding beyond the children in the wedding party. Did we mention that it's open bar?

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

In lieu of gifts, we welcome any contributions to experiences on our Nantucket mini-moon. You can find our cash funds under the "Registry" tab of the website.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Semi-formal, meaning that for the men, tuxes are welcome, but so are suits. And for the women, gowns are welcome, but so are cocktail dresses.

Question

Is the ceremony outside?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony, the cocktail hour and dinner will be outside. Please dress appropriately!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have hotel room blocks held at the Inn on Boltwood and the Holiday Inn Amherst-Hadley. Please visit the "Travel" page on our wedding website for more information on booking.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are happy to accommodate our guests with food allergies. Please contact Natasha at 508.463.5608 or tasha.gavilanez@gmail.com with more information.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Guests who have reserved rooms at the Inn on Boltwood will be provided complimentary parking in designated Inn spaces. Other guests may park in the Amherst College Alumni Lot, located directly behind the Inn on Boltwood’s designated parking spaces off of Spring Street.
