We HIGHLY recommend you stay in the Condesa, Roma, or Polanco neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are beautiful, walkable, safe, and offer an amazing culinary scene of cafes, restaurants and nightlife. See below for recommended hotel and room block, but you are welcome to stay wherever you please! Mexico City is known for its incredible architecture, including beautiful boutique hotels and Airbnbs. According to Condé Nast Traveler, ".....some say the most charming neighborhood in Mexico City, La Condesa, is known for its leafy, tree-lined streets, nods to Art Deco architecture, wide sidewalks that encourage leisurely walking, and a slate of public parks and playgrounds where you’ll see millennials with leashed dogs, artsy ex-pats, and young families." Hotel
We have a room block secured at the Andaz, which will serve as "home base" for wedding festivities. The hotel has several terrace bars, cafes, and a rooftop pool and restaurant. If you will be joining us at the Andaz we encourage you to book as soon as you can. This building is a Mexico City Heritage site with every detail designed to preserve its art deco history including original floors, record players in every room, neon escalators, and retro art installations. The Mondrian is located in the same building as the Andaz Hotel, and is also a great option for its location and ambiance. While we do not have a room block secured here, they do run promotions from time to time. Review: https://www.cntraveler.com/hotels/mexico-city/mondrian-mexico-city-condesa

Ubers // Cabs: Ubers are the recommended form of transportation in the city, as they are easy to book and affordable. You can book via the Uber app with costs ranging anywhere from $5-$25. You may also take traditional cabs around the city as well, but we found using the Uber app was the easiest and quickest way to get around. Airport Travel: We recommend taking an Uber to and from the Mexico City International Airport (MEX) - costs range from $20-$25, with a dedicated Uber pickup/dropoff spot at the airport. Travel time from the airport to the Condesa neighborhood varies between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Wedding Day Travel: Shuttle transportation will be provided between the Andaz Hotel and the wedding venue on Friday, May 23rd. The travel time is approximately 25 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. *Traffic can be highly unpredictable across the city, we recommend baking in additional time for scheduled events.
