When should I RSVP by?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3pm, so please try to arrive in time for that!

Where do I park?

Answer

There is parking along the side of the building, just ignore the bike lanes. Please park with your bumper facing the building, so as many people can fit as possible. If there is not enough parking here, then you can instead park in the AutoZone parking lot across the street. (Don't worry, we have permission!)

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal. Suits (jackets optional), dresses, formal jumpsuits, etc.

Is there a color palette I should follow for my outfit?

Answer

It is entirely optional! If you wish to follow the loose color scheme, it is navy blue and greeneries with silver for metals.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, but please let us know! We need to have an accurate headcount so that there is enough food and drinks for everyone.

Since Aves is non-binary, what terms should I use for them?

Answer

Anything gender-neutral. Avoid gendered terms like bride/groom, husband/wife. Instead, use terms like nearlywed, spouse, etc.

What will your last names be?

Answer

This was a tough question for us to answer. We want to share a last name, but picking one of our current last names felt like showing a preference. We also don't like how either hyphenated forms of our combined last names sounded. So, we decided to choose a new last name. It took us quite a while, but this new name is very "us" while still being short-and-sweet. It mirrors the fact that both of our last names, essentially being the names of animals, are rooted in nature. It also has a calmness to it which reflects our lifestyle, and it also references where we live--our backyard is basically untouched forest! So, we're excited to share that our new last name will be Woods.
