Dunsmuir Inn & Suites

Dunsmuir Inn & Suites is a family owned hotel and is within walking distance of a little coffee stand and restaurants. It is a short drive to downtown Dunsmuir which is a cute town of shops, antique stores and restaurants and bars. This hotel has free WiFi and parking, they also offer a continental breakfast but we would suggest heading into town for breakfast or lunch as the breakfast provided is very minimal. We came to Dunsmuir with our mothers and stayed in one of the suites which has two separate bedrooms. The main room has a king bed, refrigerator and tv, and the back room has two double beds with a door separating the two rooms. This would be perfect for a group of 4+, especially if there are people sharing beds. They have regular one room hotel rooms as well.

Mossbrae Hotel in the heart of Dunsmuir's historic district, (named after the famous Mossbrae Falls) is A 4-Star luxurious hotel with 7 boutique rooms, 6 upstairs and one ADA accessible room on the ground floor. Down the street is Cafe Maddalena, perhaps the best restaurant in all of far northern California. Across the street is the local brewpub. Stay in a caboose! Or a cabin! Or camp! This place has it all as well as a full dining car. A few of us will be staying here Sunday night to keep the celebrations going so if you're not in a hurry to get back after the weekend, we'd love to have you here!

Cedar Lodge Motel

Set on wooded grounds off Interstate 5, this relaxed motel is a 10-minute walk from Sacramento River, 2 miles from downtown restaurants and shops, and 4 minutes' walk from Hedge Creek Falls. Humble rooms come with minifridges, microwaves and coffeemakers, plus flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Suites add kitchens, patios, and living rooms with sofabeds. Parking is complimentary. There's also a picnic area and a BBQ, plus an aviary featuring exotic birds.

This quaint, stone-built hotel at the foot of Mount Shasta is 3 miles from swimming and boating at Lake Siskiyou, and 11 miles from Mount Shasta Ski Park. Free wine tasting from 4-6pm, free parking and WiFi, and complimentary breakfast which is highly recommended if you like homemade waffles! Breakfast also includes yogurt and granola, fruit, pastries and coffee and tea.
