Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception: The Loft at Studio J 214 Main St S, Stillwater, MN 55082
We met in 10th grade on the Stillwater Area High School cross-country ski team. After a couple of months of bonding over playing Pokémon at ski meets and talking about how much we hated skiing, we admitted our mutual crushes on one another. A few weeks later we had our first kiss under the stars while sitting on top of the shed in Zach’s back yard. Although our teenage romance didn’t last long, we remained close friends throughout high school and college. Zach attended St. John’s University in Minnesota, while Natalie attended Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. After we both graduated college in 2017, we got similar jobs working for youth education non-profits in the Twin Cities. We were able to spend more time together as friends, and at a New Year’s Eve party at the end of 2017, Zach asked Natalie to finally go out with him on an official date. We saw Charlie Parr perform at the Turf Club in St. Paul later that week, and have been going strong ever since. At the end of 2018, we moved with our cat, Ferris, out to Utah for Zach’s graduate program. In Utah, we adopted our first dog, Nellie, and our second cat, Rosie. We moved again to South Bend, Indiana during the summer of 2019 for Natalie to start her graduate program. Zach has since started his nursing program, as well. Here, we’ve added another dog to the family, Murphy. We’ve been so lucky to have the chance to live in these wonderful places, as well as travel around the country to camp in parks and forests. We soon realized that wherever we are feels like home because we are each other’s homes. So, we decided to get married! Zach proposed to Natalie in Yellowstone National Park on June 2nd, 2021. On August 19th, 2022, we will officially tie the knot! We are so excited to share our wedding with you all, and look forward to the homes we will create throughout our marriage. Rest assured, they will be filled with dogs and cats, lots of nights playing Pokémon, and not too much skiing.
