Travel

Some travel details below - please note, the airport is about 30 minutes away from Luttrellstown Castle & 30 minutes away from the City Center. Beyond this, the city is extremely walkable & the train is very easy to navigate for those wanting to travel outside of the city at all. If you have any questions about the city, travel oversees, etc. - please reach out to Natalie & Cole and we will be happy to share our favorite traveller tips!

The College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection

College Green, Dublin, D D02 HR67, Ireland

Another lovely hotel option in City Center, close to Trinity College & Grafton Street - Cole recommends the afternoon tea!

Flight

DUB - Dublin International Airport

A quick tip from Natalie & Cole - you will have to clear customs when LEAVING Dublin to return home to the US. Please make sure to leave extra time for this - we do not recommend the airport theory (https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/04/travel/airport-theory-tiktok-travel-trend)!

Rental Car

Rental Car

There are many rental car options at the Dublin Airport. Keep in mind they drive on the left side of the road. Even for our best manual drivers, keep in mind the gear shift is on the opposite side of the car. Cole and Natalie rented a car on our most recent trip over, and while we doesn't advise after a few pints at Fallon's, Cole says it is easier to navigate than the DNT or 285 during rush hour (Natalie is not convinced)

Travel Note

Rideshare

Uber is the recommended rideshare app in Ireland, as Lyft is less common and can be difficult to call. Please note, most of the Ubers in the city are taxi-drivers, so don't be alarmed if a taxi pulls up to drive you around!

Travel Note

Passport

Although you are sure to feel at home in Ireland - please make sure your passport is up to date & beyond 3 months of expiration (as they will not let you through customs if it is within that date). Additionally, if you are planning to travel to Northern Ireland during your trip, please note Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. You will need to have your passport when traveling to Northern Ireland.
