In September, Dublin will be in full fall season, so expect highs in the upper 60s & lows in the 40s. It can be quite rainy in Dublin, and sometimes showers can pop up unexpectedly (our Florida folks should be accustomed to this already), so be prepared for a few showers.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Luttrellstown Castle. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn. The reception will be held inside.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm and we ask that guests arrive by 4:15 at latest, to be seated prior to event start. Reception to follow.
We are asking that people dress in black-tie optional for the wedding. For men, this includes a tuxedo or a dark formal suit with a tie. For women, a floor length gown is appropriate, please avoid white or adjacent shades. Fall in Ireland can be chilly at night, while the reception is inside, please keep this in mind when preparing your outfit. For most of our guest, this will be a nice break from the southern heat - take advantage! We ask that you refrain from wearing jeans, short dresses, hats, sneakers and other casual clothing.
All guests will be listed on your invitation and in your RSVP. With limited capacity in the castle, we ask that you adhere to the guests listed on your invitation.
While we understand that many of you will be traveling as a family across the pond, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate children throughout the duration of wedding events. Celebrations are restricted to those 18 years of age and older, as listed on your invitation.
Our ceremony will be an unplugged ceremony. Our lovely photographer Katy Hill will be capturing the essence of the day, and as much as we would love to see your iPad photos and videos, you will be asked to leave the photography during the ceremony to the professionals.
