Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We have locked in the most amazing venue for our big day! A little off the beaten path, Pear Tree Haven is a beautiful barn venue complete with a courtyard of outdoor space that includes a covered chapel, firepits, fun seating options, and a bar. Our reception will be held inside the barn at the venue. Complete with a second bar and large dance floor- it is guaranteed to keep us partying all night! It is located at 119 Deer Dog Lane Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

Question

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4 pm. We will remain in the courtyard for the cocktail hour after the ceremony. This will feature drinks, appetizers & music. Then dinner & the reception will be in the barn. Please plan to arrive by 3:30 so our ceremony can start on time. The event will wrap up by 10 pm as we need to leave the venue at that time. Stay tuned to the website for updates on a more detailed lineup of the day's events as we get closer to the big day.

Question

What should you wear?

Answer

We want everyone to be comfortable for our celebration! Our event's vibe is more casual and we want you to be too. No black tie or tuxes for us! Business casual is perfect! For women, dresses can be short or long, jumpsuits or pants suits. For the men, khakis, button-down shirts, polos, or dark denim are great options! If you feel like a suit floats your boat- by all means, wear it! November can be seasonable. Since we can't control Mother Nature, be prepared for what she may bring upon us for our big day. Umbrellas, cardigans, and jackets are all acceptable accessories! Our ceremony will be held outdoors in the covered chapel area. Cocktail hour will take place outdoors in the courtyard space. The reception will be held indoors in the barn. Most importantly- be prepared to dance the night away in your comfy shoes!

Question

What are our child & plus- one expectations?

Answer

This will be a family-friendly event. Please feel free to bring your little ones along! Several kids will be in the crowd as we start our latest chapter together- ranging from 3 to 39. We won't have a babysitting service, so you'll need to keep an eye on them. For plus-ones, due to the size of the event space, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out!

Question

What type of food and drink will be served?

Answer

For nibbles during cocktail hour, we will have a gourmet Italian meats and cheese tray with assorted crackers, hot spinach and artichoke dip, along with a fresh fruit assortment. There will be three stations for dinner. Station 1 will be fresh chicken tenders with honey mustard, pimento mac and cheese & fresh green beans with bacon and almonds. Station 2 will have pasta primavera (tossed penne pasta with olive oil, garlic & vegetables). Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper are available on the side. Caesar salad will also be available at this station. Station 3 will have sauteed shrimp with tasso gravy over creamy stone-ground yellow grits and a sauteed vegetable medley of yellow squash, zucchini, and carrots. Sweet treats will be available later in the evening and will include an assortment of cupcakes and mini decadent desserts like chocolate-covered strawberries, canolis, and brownie bites. We will have an open bar of beer, wine, and seltzers. An assortment of sodas, tea, and water will also be available. A security officer will be on-site to be sure we are partying responsibly.

Question

Do you have any dietary restrictions?

Answer

We want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day. Please let us know if you have any restrictions that we can accommodate. We are happy to partner with our food service to make sure you have something available. The deadline for changes to our menu is October 17, so please let us know accordingly.

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

We are not providing any formal transportation for the event, but our ceremony & reception are at the same place. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving. Lyft or Uber are great options for those who don't. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink. There will be someone directing traffic upon your arrival at the venue to make parking easier.

Question

Where are we registered?

Answer

We are lucky enough to begin this chapter of our lives with everything that we need. Your presence is present enough for us. Should you wish to honor us with a gift, a monetary contribution towards our future together would be sincerely appreciated.

Question

Can you take photos?

Answer

Yes, of course! We encourage you to snap some of your favorite moments throughout the day! We will have an unplugged ceremony with our wonderful photographer, Megan catching all the sentimental action! But after that, photos are fair game! We encourage you to capture our day using #thisishowwehuett. Tag us in your posts so we can see all of your favorite moments from the day!

Question

What is the best way to contact us with questions?

Please keep checking in for more information as we get closer to our big day! RSVPs should be done through this website. We are looking forward to a memorable day!
