We're getting married!

Yale & I met in the most unexpected way- over brunch at a brewery. Neither of us was looking for anything more than a good meal and maybe a cold drink, but life had other plans. I can still remember the moment I met him. He had this unforgettable smile- warm, easy, the kind of smile that made everything else seem a little brighter. I didn't expect to meet someone that day, but I couldn't help but to be drawn in by his easy charm. We spent the next few hours talking. I felt like I had known him so much longer. We shared stories, teamed up for a game of bocci ball, and laughed. Even had a few awkward silences that somehow made me feel closer to him. By the time we parted ways, I think we both knew something special was happening. It didn't take long for us to realize that we were meant for each other. From the start- he was everything I was looking for in a partner- supportive, caring, & loving. He's always been there for me, whether I needed a shoulder to lean on or someone to make me laugh after a long day. Together, we've built a life full of love and laughter. I know he is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. After four years of waiting (and dropping a few not-so-subtle hints), he finally popped the question. It wasn't a grand spectacle or big production- it was simple, just us surrounded by the kids at home before we went out to dinner. He took my hand, smiled that smile again, and asked if I'd marry him. And of course, I said yes! It wasn't the way I'd imagined it, but it was perfect. Just us in our little world. Looking back, every moment of our journey has been exactly what it was meant to be. Romantic, funny, and full of surprises- and I wouldn't change a thing!
