We recommend staying in downtown Sayulita. Hotel Ysuri Sayulita is the main hotel we recommend. There are plenty of other lovely hotels and Airbnbs nearby, so pick one that fits your preference and budget! La Joya Sayulita is another beautiful option.
You fly into Puerto Vallarta (PVR airport). Then take an Uber, Taxi, or book a shuttle from PVR to downtown Sayulita (60 minutes). We do NOT recommend renting a car. Once you are in Sayulita then you can rent a golf cart (approx. $50 USD/day) in town. You can typically rent a golf cart through your hotel or an external company in town - many have booths around town.
Punta Mita is a beautiful area 30-45 minutes from Sayulita. There are many 5-star, luxury hotels in this area. The Conrad Punta Mita is one of our favorites! If you stay in Punta Mita you are responsible for all of your transportation to the wedding. Please note, you cannot park at the wedding venue, so you should arrange a drop off/pickup with your hotel.

YES!! While some places have credit card machines, they are often unreliable and you end up needing cash, and a lot of places are cash only. The ATMs in town are often broken or out of cash, so try to bring cash from home. They accept USD, however, for a better exchange rate you should pay in pesos. You can get cash from the PVR airport, or get pesos from your bank at home prior to leaving.
