After a dating app matched us as 98% compatible, we knew we had to meet up...if for no other reason than to prove the app's algorithm was obviously flawed. We met for dinner at the Brewhaus for beer and schnitzel and talked for hours about the international trips each of us had just arrived home from: him traveling by train and motorcycle through Morocco and her traveling by bike through the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland. It clicked -- we were the same flavor of crazy. And we've been adventuring and exploring together since!
After a lovely dinner at the new Edwin Hotel (which Natalie couldn't taste at all due to a terrible head cold), we went for a walk across the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. Halfway across the bridge, we stopped to overlook the Tennessee River and the lights of the skyline. When he pulled a tiny box from his coat, passersby cheered, she said yes, and they were whisked away by an Uber to a rooftop bar where friends were gathered to celebrate with us -- a perfect ending to a perfect proposal! We can't wait to celebrate the start of our next chapter with you! See you in Chattanooga!
