Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before the start time of the ceremony start time. We ask all guests to take into account the time it may take for parking and potential traffic while approaching Carnation. You can view your invitation using the "View Your Invitation" tab on our website regarding events and timing.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is ample complimentary parking on-site. When you turn into the Carnation Farms gate, you will see parking signs directing you to a stable turned parking lot directly to your left. Please park in any open spot, or if an usher is present, please follow their directions. Once you're parked, walk to the center of the stable and queue up for the shuttle to take you to the top of the venue! There will be a shuttle to and from the parking lot to the main ceremony and reception area, as there is a very steep and narrow hill between the parking and ceremony site. There is no guest parking available at the top of the hill.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, the dinner and reception will be indoors.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

For all of our out-of-town guests, welcome to Seattle! The weather here is beautiful in August. It's usually in the mid-70s to low-80s during the day and stays in the high-50s to low-60s in the evening. Please bring a light shawl or sweater for the evening if you get chilly easily.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

First and foremost, we want all of you to be comfortable in whatever you choose to wear to our wedding! We are hoping to keep a cohesive theme, there will be floral highlights all throughout the venue, and our bridal party will be wearing light, pastel colored outfits. If you’re looking for inspiration, think light, summery formal wear.
