Our Story

We stumbled into love in Nashville, TN like a couple of Broadway artists looking to get signed by a record label, only to write our hearts into a lifelong love song. Seamus, escaping Illinois’s taxes, hightailed it to Music City in September 2022, ready to shake up his life for a new change of scenery. Natalie, our Virginia southern gal, rolled in June 2023, chasing Nashville’s twangy tunes and a shiny new dentist gig. Who knew cavities and country could mix? Our story kicked off on July 4, 2023, with fireworks popping like our hearts when we met through friends. We swapped a few words in the glow, and Seamus was smitten, thinking, “Who’s this firecracker?” A few weeks later, at another hangout, he had the courage to ask, “You single?” Natalie’s grin and “most definitely” were like hitting the jackpot at a slot machine. Off we went, hiking Tennessee’s hills, exploring the food scene, and two-stepping at Whiskey Jam at Losers Bar, where the music was almost as electric as our connection. Seamus was a goner in weeks, tripping over his own heart. For Natalie’s 25th, he snagged George Strait tickets, and as the cowboy king crooned “That’s My Kind of Woman,” Seamus asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes, and we’re pretty sure the crowd cheered louder for us than George. Then, plot twist! Seamus was a patient at Sylvan Park Smiles Dentistry, where Natalie landed a job when his dentist took maternity leave. When he mentioned an upcoming appointment, she asked where. Seamus named the dental practice, Natalie’s eyes went wide—she’d seen “Matthew Moran” in the files, clueless it was Seamus (middle name guy, go figure). We laughed so hard we nearly needed dental work ourselves. Talk about fate brushing our teeth! The coincidences piled up like bar tabs. Our birthdays? August 3rd and 6th—Leo’s. Both Catholic, we connected on faith and beliefs. Natalie’s parents, Bob and Debbie, worked in the Department of Defense, just like Seamus, making family gatherings feel like a Pentagon reunion. When Seamus’s parents, Matt and Deanna, met Natalie in late 2023 they saw she had a good head on her shoulders and knew she’d whip this boy into shape. Seamus knew Natalie was his forever faster than you can say “yee-haw.” In April 2024, visiting her folks in Virginia, he gathered Bob and Debbie in the kitchen while Natalie primped. He spilled out his heart, asking to marry their daughter. Tears were shed and Seamus received the second most important “yes” in his life. On July 4, 2024, at Seamus’s family lake house in Eagle River, Wisconsin, with water sparkling like our future, he dropped to one knee. Natalie’s “yes” (the most important yes) was louder than the fireworks on a Fourth of July sky. As we prepare for our wedding, we're grateful for the twists of fate that brought us together. From Nashville's rhythms to shared dreams and unexpected connections, our story is a reminder that love finds its way when the time is right. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
