Costa Brava is the coastal region just north of Barcelona, known for its rugged cliffs, cala beaches, and charming seaside towns. Our wedding events will take place in Blanes and Lloret de Mar, the two Costa Brava towns closest to Barcelona. We recommend to stay AWAY from Lloret De Mar downtown, and only stay in Santa Marta Hotel or Hotel Rigat for hotels in Lloret. The town of Blanes is the best location for hotels if you plan not to stay in one of these two hotel recommendations.

This hotel is located right in front of the beach and the town center of Blanes, and is walking distance to many restaurants and bars. It is a small boutique hotel, so booking far in advance is necessary, and we will not have a discount or room block, so book normally via the hotel website.

There is availability for home rentals in the Lloret de Mar and Blanes area. *Make sure you are narrowing your search to these locations and not all of Costa Brava, as the region is very large. Staying close to our event venues will allow for ease with transportation. We recommend booking far in advance as options are limited, and to stay away from Lloret De Mar downtown area.*

Travel Note

Transportation / Taxis

Uber is available from BCN airport to Costa Brava for reasonable pricing. However, Uber is not available to use within Costa Brava. Taxis are available. We will provide links to taxi companies closer to our date. Our planners can also help arrange affordable mini van transfers from the airport, please reach out to us if interested.

Flight

Barcelona Airport

Barcelona (BCN) airport is located approximately a one hour drive from our recommended hotels and venue, and is the best option for international flights. Girona-Costa Brava airport is also in the area if you are flying from European cities such as London or Amsterdam.

Rental Car

Barcelona Airport Rental Cars

Renting a car is especially useful if you plan to visit other towns in the Costa Brava region before or after the wedding. Rental from BCN airport is convenient, and most hotels have parking included for guests.

Train

Rodalies R1 line

Departure from downtown Barcelona at Sants Station, or from the BCN airport, with transfer at Barcelona Sants Station. Arrival in Blanes. There is a train approximately every 30 minutes, and the journey takes 1.5 hours
