How We Met

08.2015

It all started by liking pictures on Instagram. (basic right?) I liked some of his, then he liked some of mine. We then started to Snapchat (again..basic) and finally started texting each other! We finally hung out for the first time on 8/22.. according to Coleman, I said we had a huge fire going. He says they pulled up and it was the smallest fire. I do not recall saying we had a big fire, but that just makes it even more funny. A whole month and couple days later we started dating. It seems crazy to think, we met when I was 16, and he was 18. Now I am almost 24 and he is 25! We truly have grown up together, and we wouldn't want to walk with anyone else through this crazy journey called life.

The Proposal

10.2021

It was Colemans plan to propose on the third weekend in October, and it ended up being a weekend my sister Amanda was in town. I planned to head to where my sister was for a night hanging out at a bonfire. Coleman asked me to stop by his sisters house but I was already with my sister and didn't exactly want to leave. Coleman came over later that night to see me, and Jakob, his brother in law, was telling him to propose then as he had the ring with him. He didn't though. The next day, I head home and am sleeping off the night before, being lazy. Coleman goes to his sister Breckon's house for the day. He texts me asking about dinner and telling me to come there. I really didn't want to, and seriously asked "Do I have to?" I finally get up, get myself somewhat ready and do my hair (thank goodness) and I head over to have dinner. So everything's normal and Breckon tells me to come shoot her bow to practice and make sure I like it. They told me I had to shoot it 3 times to make sure. We head out on the porch, I get the bow ready and everyone is behind me. Shoot it once, bullseye. Then again, bullseye. Jakob starts to walk down in the yard, I'm not really paying attention but he gets to the target and tells me to look through the scope. (I didn't want to hold up the bow with Jakob down there, cause you aren't supposed to do that of course) He says it again and I look through it. He turns the target around and written on the back says "will you marry me?". The first words out of my mouth, were bad words. I turn around and sweet Coleman is down on one knee!!! Literally speechless. I was so shocked, and so surprised. Of course I say yes, after a minute or so. It could have happened sooner, had I went over the first time he asked. It was perfect though, and couldn't have been any more special. A day we will remember forever!

For all the days along the way
