We're Getting Married!

Cam and I met on Instagram Live while I was at my friend Kelly's house. I had always thought he was handsome and had my eye on him for a while. But, because he was a smoking hot, star hockey player in high school and I was a band nerd, with above a 4.0, and spent my free time studying and reading books, I did not think I had a chance with him. We both graduated from Trenton High School (Cam in 2019 and myself in 2021). After high school, Cam went on to play semi-pro hockey in Alaska (NAHL), Ontario, Minnesota, and other places, and I started college at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as an Evans Scholar. We hung out for the first time during Christmas Break in 2020 while Cam was home from Alaska for the holiday. Two weeks later, Cam went back, and long distance started. It was extremely tough because I thought as soon as he moved away I was going to be "old news". I never thought a long-distance relationship would work, but we did it for a long year. He then moved back home to be with me and gave up his hockey career for a new career in day trading, which he is extremely passionate about. I began to study Neuroscience to eventually pursue a career in Sales. I love getting to watch him chase his dreams every day, he's so inspiring! Three LONG years later, he proposed outside my college house at a park nearby. It was an absolute dream!
