FAQs

Please read through these FAQ's that we may not have addressed elsewhere on the website. If you still do not see your question listed, please reach out to Megan Prochaska, 410-708-4843!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

April 25, 2027.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Please visit the registry page on our website to view gift preferences. They are only welcomed, not required!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to the ceremony by 4:00pm to ensure you are comfortably seated by the start time, 4:30pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is formal or semi-formal. For men, this may include suits, blazers with tailored dress pants or trousers, with a button down short or polo. Please avoid jeans and t-shirts. Tie is optional! For women, this may include floor length dresses, midi or knee length dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. Color is welcomed! Please avoid wearing white, light/baby blue, or orange.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate guests that are formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a Plus One, they will appear under your name when you RSVP on the website. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only affair. Please use our evening as a date night!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a parking garage located behind the hotel. All guests will be given a parking pass at the time of ceremony check-in with a waived fee for the weekend.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Find hotels around Gettysburg as alternative stay.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The walk from the Hotel Gettysburg parking garage is brief. If you choose to reserve a stay with another hotel, there will not be provided transportation to and from our ceremony and reception.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We ask that you DO NOT take photos during our ceremony. We have hired professionals to capture this moment not only for us, but OF us and our guests as they remained unplugged and present when we say 'I do' (again). We will share these photos with you once we receive them. You are free to take all the photos and videos you would like when the ceremony is over.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

Please indicate that you are unable to attend our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What if I forgot to RSVP?

Answer

We are REQUIRED to submit a final guest count in a timely manner. As a result, we cannot accept late RSVP's. If you do not RSVP by April 25, 2027, we can assume you will not be in attendance and you will be missed!

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks on us during cocktail hour and reception. Due to venue policy and regulations, you are not allowed to bring any other alcoholic beverages into the cocktail space or grand ballroom venue.

Question

What if there were no more room blocks available at Hotel Gettysburg?

Answer

We have blocked a certain number of rooms for our family and friends to book at a discounted rate. Using the link or phone number on the Book Your Stay page, please indicate that you are with the 'Ricketts Wedding'. If there are no more room blocks left, that means you were a bit too late in reserving your stay at the discounted rate. You are welcome to reserve a stay at the hotel, but you will receive the hotel's standard rates.
