We met in July 2020 after Nat moved into the flat above Andy's apartment. It turned out to be a convenient time to be stuck at home as we were able to get to know each other over many socially distanced evenings spent on Nat's terrace. After a few months of friendship (and with the assistance of liquid courage courtesy of Moretti) we admitted our feelings for each other and have been together ever since.

Our first date was also the first time we had been outside our apartment building together! We went for a lovely late summer walk along the Putney side of the Thames and wandered back to Parson's Green for some hideously expensive cocktails. We ended the evening by getting turned away from the Durrell Arms, objectively the worst pub in Fulham and a sure sign that we should head home for Chinese food and a few episodes of 'Rake'.

Andy set up a scavenger hunt that took Nat through our favourite places in the neighbourhood, beginning with brunch at Local Hero where she was surprised to find our friends Jack and Sioned waiting for us. After a quick pint at the Sloaney Pony, Nat was sent to have her nails done (a bit of a tip-off) while Andy broke off to set up the rest of the hunt. At our favourite pub, the Mitre, Nat was surprised again with our friends Issie, Meg, Harry, and Adu, with Andy nowhere to be found. Eventually, Adu led Nat to Bishop's Park, where Andy was waiting with champagne, early birthday presents, and a ring to top it off! After saying 'yes', Jack, Sioned, and our best friend Jamie jumped out of the bushes where they'd been hiding and taking photos and joined us for a toast. The surprises still weren't quite over - back at the house Nat was met with an engagement party and a re-creation of the terrace where we'd spent so many hours getting to know each other. A classic Andy scavenger hunt and a day we will always remember!
