Nat's Broomsperson
Calli was truly one of the first people to believe in Nat as a theatremaker, producer, and creator. She asked Nat to join her in a life-changing experience, starting your first theatre company and trying to MAKE IT. The two ran the company together for over 5 years, which was instrumental to Nat getting into grad school and moving to NYC. Calli is a remarkable actress, and the most compassionate human being you will ever meet. She is Nat's first call when life gets to be the toughest.
Allan's Broomsperson
Gaby and Allan - the dynamic duo always down for adventure. Whether sharing a scuba tank 30 feet underwater, walking into the ocean in full business suits, or backflipping on the dance floor... these two know how to get the party going on family vacations. Gaby has been a special part of Allan's life since the two were young single chaps attracting all the ladies (well.. Gaby attracted them at least!). Cheers to you and cheers to me.
Allan's Broomsperson
Sabrina, the matron of the "La Familia" mafia, has been a devoted friend to Allan ever since they met at the alcohol section of the airport on their way to a family vacation with 60 "Jews-from-former-Soviet-Union." Those bonds grow deep. She's a gorgeous beauty with badass brains, and loves a good party!
Nat's Broomsperson
Nat and Rebecca have been close friends since grade 9. They've traveled to France, Spain, Amsterdam and Sweden together, and the Bychutsky and Gershtein families have spent countless holidays in Florida playing Settlers of Catan. The Bychutskys even flew to NYC to watch Nat's first ever 10 minute play in 2012. While they haven't lived in the same city in over a decade, Nat and Rebecca can be found Facetiming each other during the work day discussing life's brutally honest truths.
Nat's Broomsperson
Jesse and Nat have known each other since they were kids. They became closer while at McGill and even more so when Jesse moved to NYC! They've shared many travel adventures from being pummeled with rain on a boat en route to a remote island in Brazil, to the mind-blowing waterfalls of Iguazu on the border of Argentina, to an overnight train from Moscow to St. Petersburg where they teamed up on Jesse's wife in a game of cards and made her cry. This game is a cooperative game where there is no one winner... You might say they both have a competitive side. We love you Liz (sorry for making you cry!).
Nat's Broomsperson
Lindsey is one of those sparkly people that you can't help but notice and love when she walks into the room. She was Nat's gymnastics coach back in the day, but the two were more like sisters. Lindsey definitely made a huge impact on Nat growing up, and helped her become the disciplined, hard working, know-it-all she is today.
Allan's Broomsperson
Valera has been a close family friend of the Shulman clan since he immigrated to Canada and Jamie Shulman began teaching him English swear words at the age of 13. The boys all grew up together and Valera was ultimately the responsible one in the bunch - cleaning up after wild parties and holding down the fort. No doubt he was quickly beloved by Bella and Ed, and became a part of the family!
Nat's Broomsperson
Nat's brother Jeff can come off as the silent type, but don't be fooled by his quiet demeanor... he's got plenty going on under the surface and if you get a couple drinks in him he might just let it all roll out. He's a gentle and kind soul, with a killer fashion sense. Ask him how many shoes he has in his closet.
Allan's Broomsperson
Freddy's a beauty. He's Allan's cousin, and has been there for him through thick and thin. He has the best laugh on this side of the Atlantic, and you should ask him about his tattoos #noregrets.
Nat's Broomspeople
These boys are like brothers to Nat, and the three have been playing and arguing and debating and fantasizing about the world ever since they were in diapers. They all moved to New York to join the circus (I mean... be professional theatre makers), and having them around has meant that home never feels far away.
Nat's Broomsperson
Gabby is Nat's little cousin who has grown up to be a beautiful young woman making the whole family proud! She's currently studying at McGill University (Nat's alma mater). Nat and Gabby have had a serious bond since Gabby was in diapers and Nat buried her in a mountain of beanie babies.
Nat's Broomsperson
Massey and Nat go all the way back to grade school. They've traveled the world together to England, Scotland, and Peru. The two could not be more different, and that's what makes them such great friends. Some of Nat's most cherished memories are spending summers at the Morris cottage with the whole family. The Morris clan have seen countless of Nat's shows in NYC and are as supportive as they come!
Allan's Broomsperson
A steadfast member of the "La Familia" crowd, Anna's warmth, charm, and ability to fall asleep early at every night out never fails to amaze. Allan and Anna had a pact that if they hit 35 and were still single, they'd marry each other. Luckily Vadim and Nat came into the picture!
Allan's Broomspeople
Allan's older and younger brothers, completing the set of three that meant growing up in the Shulman household was never a dull moment. If you haven't heard the stories and shenanigans from their childhood, then grab a seat and buckle up.
Allan's Broomsperson
Mat is the life of the party, and saying he's a "go-getter" doesn't really do him justice. A guy with a huge heart and a big brain, he's one of Allan's cousins and has many embarrassing stories to share about Allan if you have a few hours to spare!
Allan's Broomsperson
One of Allan's oldest friends, and the mother of Allan's adorable god-daughter Kalina, Jess is a fiercely loyal friend and loves with all her heart. She's always game to hang whether it's camping, hiking, or swimming in the backyard. Try not to cry when you see Kalina walk down the aisle as a Flower Girl!
Allan's Broomsperson
Johnny and Allan go all the way back to grade 7, when Johnny was a good little boy and Allan tarnished him forever with his bad influence. Kidding! They were a good influence on each other (sometimes!). They were inseparable until Nat came along and stole Allan away to NYC (Johnny has never really fully forgiven her for this).
