Whenever we are in the area we HAVE to stop at Ingo's to order our favorite: crispy chicken sammy with shattered potato chips! We love the unique charm of Arcadia. Be sure to swing by the La Grande Orange Grocery & Pizzeria across the street before you leave.
Our favorite coffee shop, Cartel Roasting Company, has a location in the historic Old Town Scottsdale (address above). We love window shopping and soaking in the culture from the local stores in this area!
A less than 15 minute drive from the Royal Palms, the Desert Botanical Garden is worth exploring.
Olive & Ivy is a Scottsdale staple! It serves Mediterranean dishes located next to the Arizona canal. A walk over the bridge will lead you to Old Town Scottsdale. Stop by the Marketplace on your way out of Olive & Ivy for some baked goods and gelato!
We love a good fancy date night at Buck & Rider. This local restaurant ships fresh seafood in twice a day. (Ingo's Tasty Food is the sister restaurant)
Roughly 30 minutes north of the resort is the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This address will lead you to Gateway Trailhead. There are many easy hiking trails and saguaro cacti at this park!
After touring wedding venues in Scottsdale, we stumbled upon this hiking trail -- not knowing it is rated an "extremely difficult" trail. We were not prepared for how hard this hike is! It is very steep and includes railing in order to hike up the mountain. We did not hike the entire length, and still were able to soak in the views!
Sedona is one of our favorite weekend getaway spots. There is nothing like those stunning red rocks and the peaceful energy up there! It is a little over a 2 hour drive from the Royal Palms Resort.
