On a sunny May day in 2021, Natalie was sitting in the office with her friend/co-worker Jasmine aka "Ms. Cupid". In true Natalie fashion, she glanced over at Jasmine's phone as she scrolled past a picture of a handsome young man. With her inquisitiveness, she asked Jasmine, "who is that fineeeeeee black mane?" Jasmine chuckled and explained that this was her childhood friend Manny, who is single and ready to mingle. Jasmine carried on the conversation explaining the similarities of their personalities. While still sitting in the office, Jasmine sent Manny a quick text with all the tea on her good girlfriend and made sure to share Nat's Instagram handle for Manny to make a move. It was a longgg 3 days before Manny reached out. [He wanted to play it cool and wait it out.] Manny then turned into the smooth talker he is and was able to get Natalie's phone number. From that day on they communicated every day. They bonded over corny jokes, their love for Nothing Bundt Cake and watching re-runs of Parking Wars on A&E. After just a month, they knew they had to meet in person. Manny asked Natalie to meet him for lunch at the National Harbor. Natalie accepted the first date, not knowing this would change her life forever. Fast forward 2 years into dating, Manny knew Natalie was the one and there was no way he could live without her. He began looking for rings, but knew he had to get the blessings from her parents. After meeting with her parents, that only confirmed that he was making the right choice. With their support, he started brainstorming. From conversations that he and Nat held, he knew the proposal would have to be thoughtful and private. Manny knew that he wanted to plan a proposal that she would always remember. On November 4, 2023, Manny chose to create an intimate proposal on the water in Broomes Island, MD. After she said yes, Natalie was filled with joy and happiness - as she knew this was the man God ordained for her. Full of excitement, the first thing Natalie did was Facetime her mom. Natalie was so amazed that her parents and new fiancé was able to keep their lips sealed with this big surprise. They then spent the evening at a romantic dinner basking in the moment and enjoying the engagement bliss.
