To get to Inverness, you'll take a windy, beautiful drive through redwoods and rolling hills, about an hour north of San Francisco. For those flying, Oakland or SFO are great options; we recommend renting a car. There are many vacation rentals in Inverness that are walkable to Colby House, as well as in Point Reyes and Olema. We don't advise going further than Point Reyes or Olema, as while it might look close, the roads are quite windy and very dark at night. We are planning to provide shuttles from Tomales Bay Resort & Marina. Parking at the house is limited, and rideshare services are largely not available. We recommend getting a rental car, using the shuttles, and choosing walkable accommodations. It is possible to stay in San Francisco, just keep in mind the drive home will be about 30 minutes of dark and windy roads before you get to the freeway. We have held some rooms at this hotel, but since we weren't able to hold all of the rooms here, we recommend booking as soon as possible. It's right on Tomales Bay, with cute seaside motel vibes. This is a stunning property, about a 10 minute drive from the house. Best for those who are interested in a more Ritzy vibe and don't mind the drive back at night.
