Natalia loves outside, and so Tori planned an outdoor excursion to Amicalola Falls State Park. The CDC said outside was safe. Though a pandemic raged across the country, love could not be stopped. They loaded up Ava and Miracle for a true family affair, and headed to the mountains of North Georgia. A few pit stops, random field potty break, and dangerous mountainside drive later they arrived at the oasis of calm and natural beauty that is Amicalola Falls. Natalia was over the moon excited. Miracle not so much. Tori's nerves at an all time high as she kept the secret meaning of the day to herself. They landed the luggage in a truly luxurious cabin, and set off for the falls. Ava cried, Miracle panicked, Natalia got sweaty and anxious, and Tori held it all together. The day would not be derailed. They made it to the summit, and everyone took in a deep breathe and stood in awe of the Falls. A cool breeze made its way through the trees, animating the water as it fell below them. Tori turned toward the group and said, "let's take a picture." Tori, uncharacteristically, asked a nearby stranger to take the photo. She then wrapped her arm around Natalia as they stood in perfect "ham" mode, cheesing. Yet, something was amiss. Natalia felt Tori move and looked to see if she was ok. And there she was, down on one knee, ring box open, cheesing as sweat droplets haloed her forehead. Natalia gasped, and clutched at her proverbial - but not real - pearls. Ava dropped into a low kneel clutching a single wildflower over her head and repeatedly murmuring, "oh my gosh, oh my gosh." Miracle paced, breathing heavy, simply grateful to be away from the stairs. Tori stayed put, speechless herself, ring exposed, awaiting an answer. The moment seemed to last for hours. Natalia called on her Lord and Savior in excitement, Tori nodded at her, "yeah," nudging a response. And Natalia's head bobbed up and down. They hugged it out and then hiked it out.
