Jacob & Narissa

FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We're keeping our celebration intimate and have decided to make it an adults-only event. The only exceptions are Jacob's nephew and Narissa's siblings who are in the wedding party, along with a few select older cousins who have been specifically approved and will be listed on your formal invitation. We appreciate your understanding as we're unable to extend the invitation and accommodate additional children.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

In order to accommodate our guest list, attendance is limited to the individuals listed on each formal invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We're envisioning a rustic, semi-formal celebration and welcome attire that falls within either semi-formal or cocktail dress code. For guidance, we suggest suits for men (ties optional) and cocktail or elevated dresses for women. To complement the day's aesthetic, we encourage jewel tones such as emerald, sapphire blue, and amethyst purple. Narissa's bridesmaids and Jacob's groomsmen will be dressed in olive green and black. For outfit inspiration, please visit our gallery page for examples of what to wear and what to avoid.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the cocktail hour and reception!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue by 3:45 PM, giving you plenty of time to park and find your seat before our wedding ceremony begins precisely at 4:15 PM.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, convenient parking is available at Stonebridge Venue. Our ceremony and reception are both located at the same site, making arrival and transportation simple for our guests. Parking details will be added to our gallery section soon.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request an unplugged ceremony, asking our guests to set aside their cameras and phones. Our professional photographer will capture every cherished moment, allowing everyone to be fully present and immerse themselves in the joy and emotion of our wedding celebration.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

If you have any questions, we recommend first exploring our wedding website for comprehensive information. After reviewing our website, if the FAQs do not address your specific inquiry, please feel free to contact the bride directly. She will be happy to assist you promptly and thoroughly. **Phone Number: 214-733-7969**

Question

Wait… it’s in February?? Is this inside or are we freezing?

Answer

Yes, it's February—and we completely understand your concern! Our ceremony will take place outdoors beneath a beautiful oak tree and will last approximately 30 minutes. We recommend bringing a warm coat or wrap to stay comfortable during this time if the weather calls for colder temperatures. Immediately after we say "I do," we'll move to cocktail hour outdoors, followed by our reception inside where you can enjoy delicious food, drinks, and dancing in a warm, festive atmosphere. We're also considering providing accommodations based on the weather as we get closer to the date.

Question

Are dogs welcomed?

Answer

While we kindly ask that guests do not bring their own dogs, our beloved pup Bubby will be a special part of our wedding day. He'll join us during the ceremony and cocktail hour, adding a touch of family charm. After his cameo, Bubby will be comfortably settled in our suite for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Question

RSVP Details

Answer

Formal invitations and RSVPs will be available in October 2026. We'd love for you to respond to our wedding invitation through the RSVP section of our website. If you're able to join us, simply select "yes" for yourself and any guests listed on your invitation. If you're unable to attend, please select "no"—we completely understand, and we appreciate you letting us know. An accurate headcount is essential for our planning, so we kindly ask that you respond by the deadline noted on your formal invitation. If we don't receive your RSVP by that date, we'll mark you as "Not Attending" to finalize our numbers with our vendors. Should your circumstances change after you've confirmed "yes" and you're no longer able to attend, please reach out to the bride directly as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your communication and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we'd be delighted to accommodate your food allergy. When you RSVP, simply let us know about your specific needs, and we'll work closely with our catering team to ensure you enjoy a safe and delicious meal tailored to your requirements.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry section of our website!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Absolutely! We've curated a list of hotel recommendations on our travel page. If you don't see a property listed there yet, we'll be adding the options very soon.

Question

What happens if it rains or snows?

Answer

Rain or shine, our celebration will go on! Should inclement weather be forecasted, we kindly suggest bringing an umbrella and dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day. If snow is in the forecast, please allow yourself extra travel time and prioritize your safety above all else. While we would be deeply disappointed to miss anyone due to weather concerns, we're proceeding with our plans as scheduled. We're thrilled to celebrate with you, come what may!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We're finalizing the details on hotel accommodations for our guests. Check back soon for updates—we'll share all the information you need before booking your stay!

Question

A Note From the Couple

Answer

To keep the focus on our celebration, we ask that guests refrain from making major personal announcements during our wedding events. Thank you for understanding!
