The passage from Gooseberry Point to Lummi Island takes 6 minutes on the ferry, the "Whatcom Chief." It costs $13 to drive a car with one passenger onto the ferry and $7 for additional passengers. Schedules can be found within the link below but on average the ferry run around once an hour through out the day on weekends. On the day of the wedding you can expect there to be a bit of a wait if you are driving onto the ferry it could take up to an hour to get on so please plan on accordingly. You should not have to wait if you walk onto the ferry. On Saturday night the last ferry back to the mainland is at 12:00am. Ferry website: www.co.whatcom.wa.us/382/Ferry Ferry parking map: www.co.whatcom.wa.us/DocumentCenter/View/1184 If you drive to the ferry and walk on, there is some street parking at Gooseberry Point along Lummi View Drive. However, there is no sidewalk along the road, and it is poorly lit at night.
Formal attire is requested at both the ceremony and the reception. It can get a bit cold at night however so make sure to bring along something warm! Our reception with be held on grass so flat shoes or wedge heels may be the best choice for the ladies.
