A foodie’s paradise located right on the waterfront. The Ferry Building Marketplace is filled with local vendors, artisan shops, and some of San Francisco’s best coffee, bread, and oysters. On Saturdays, the lively farmers’ market spills outside with fresh produce and street performers. Make sure to check out Humphry Slocombe for some ice cream and Gotts Roadside for some incredible burgers!
One of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods, famous for its bustling piers, sea lions lounging at Pier 39, and plenty of fresh seafood (don’t miss the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl!). It’s a lively spot to stroll, shop, and take in the Bay views.
A brand-new park built on top of the Presidio Parkway tunnels, offering sweeping Golden Gate Bridge views, walking trails, food trucks, and green lawns. It’s perfect for a picnic or an afternoon walk with some of the city’s best scenery. One of our favourite running / jogging trails!
Once home to the infamous federal prison, Alcatraz is now one of San Francisco’s most popular attractions. A short ferry ride takes you to the island, where you can explore the historic prison cells and enjoy stunning views back toward the city skyline. Make sure to book tickets in advance!
Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods is a serene escape into towering coastal redwood forests. The peaceful trails wind through ancient trees that soar hundreds of feet high, offering a quiet retreat from the city and a chance to experience California’s natural beauty up close. Incredible place for a day hike. If driving a reservation for a parking pass is needed so plan ahead!
