Durrae Butler

Maid of Honor

Naomi's Older Sister While growing up, Durrae was my big sister, my baby sitter, my extra mom. Now she's the person I call if I need parenting advice, to use her as a therapist, if I have weird medical questions, or to use her as my moral compass (like the time she told me I should DEFINITELY leave a note on the parked car I hit) Durrae is a strong woman who is sure of her convictions and defends them when she needs to. She inspires me with her hard work and preservation through difficult times. We got closer when we were both pregnant and had our babies 2 weeks apart. Since then, we see each other often. Durrae is the planner of our family so that makes her uniquely qualified to help with this wedding. Any cool thing you see at the wedding will probably be thanks to either her or our mom.

Lauren Lissberger

Matron of Honor

Naomi's Older Sister Lauren has always been known as the kind sister out of the three of us, and that label is well-deserved. She is genuinely a kind-hearted and empathic soul. When I need someone to support whatever I'm going though, I call her. She'll give her advice on what she thinks I should do but will always ends it with "but I'm here and I support whatever you choose". Lauren and I got closer around 2008 when we were stuck in the car with each other for about 3 hours a day. We bonded over screaming Taylor Swift's Fearless album, twizzlers from the gas station, and exploring the creek behind our house. She became my best friend. Because of that, our friend groups overlapped so we spent all of our free time together even after she graduated and I stayed in high school.

Janna Bell

Bridesmaid

Naomi's Family Friend While it is true that Janna is a family friend, it is more accurate to say she's another one of my sisters. I met her when I was 4 because she was Durrae's best friend. She was never afraid to put us and our friends in line, and she knew how to get it done. If I want an honest opinion that won't be sugarcoated, I talk to Janna. If I need help, I call Janna. If I need to get advice for how to handle a difficult situation, I text her. We bond over our mutual love for Greys Anatomy. She's there to go fun places with all the nieces and nephews, but she's also there to whisper and drunkenly laugh with at 3am in a hotel room.
