It was September of 2020 when we both decided to download Hinge. After chatting for an evening on the app, we agreed to meet up the next day. We met at the lake, a favorite place for both of us. Naomi rolled up on her yellow bike and wondered how she would spot this man who she'd only seen in photos, and just his face at that. As she looked around, she heard her name - pronounced correctly nonetheless - and saw Darrell walking toward her. As soon as they started talking, there was a sense of ease and comfort felt by both. Darrell took her bike, always the gentleman, and they strolled along the shoreline. They eventually reached a bench, where they continued to chat for much longer than expected. The rest was history.
