It was a cold, windy night and Wesley walked into a desolate Bojangles in need of some fried chicken..... I kid.....I was going down to Atlanta to visit one of my bridesmaids, Natalie, to go to a music festival in May 2018. I remember thinking I wouldn't know many people and being a little worried about that, but Natalie made me feel like the people that would be there would be super chill and fun. When I arrived, everyone was hanging out and seemed to know each other well. I sat down by a table by myself and saw the door open. In walked, Wesley. He caught my eye, mostly with his kind, striking blue eyes. He came in and walked up to me immediately to introduce himself. I believe he was with his groomsman, Karsan. I remember being super struck by him because he was so kind to come up and introduce himself to me immediately. The rest of the day we took care of everyone like the "parents" of the group. Making sure everyone ate, drank water, and had a fun time. From there, our long-distance relationship began. Many weekend trips full of camping, hiking, adventures with our Charlotte and Atlanta families, as well as both our families began - a special time. In 2020, during the pandemic, Wesley decided to move up to Charlotte and I truly couldn't be more thankful to be able to see my person every day! We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all our friends and family in September! Best, Nanne and Wesley
