Noah and Nani met the third week after Nani moved back to the islands from California in the summer of 2019. Noah was recently returned from his first deployment. He first saw Nani from across the room at the Art After Dark event at the Honolulu Academy of Art. And what he did about it? "Absolutely nothing." -Noah. Fortunately, fate smiled upon him when he saw the same girl again afterwards in Chinatown at Bar 35. He finally worked up the courage to not miss his second chance at meeting her, and the rest is history. Well, minus the fact that Nani almost missed their first date (she maintains she never received his text about the time and place with her ticket), and Noah ended up missing half of the Phantom of the Opera performance he had purchased for their first date. He spent the first half outside on the phone convincing Nani to drive all the way into town to see the second half of the show and save their date. But as fate would have it, he was meant to find her again on that fateful first night, and she was never meant to miss that date. The rest is history...
