Explore our favorite neighborhood in the city! The corner of Milwaukee, Damen and North is a great place to start. Some of our recs: - Big Star: Funky tacos and fun drinks on a great patio where we had our first date - The 606: an converted L-route walk/bike path where we got engaged - Red Hot Ranch: Our favorite hot dog/burger/fries spot in the city - Las Asadas: our favorite no-frills taco spot - Fun bars in the area are Blue Line Lounge & Grill, Estelles, Nick's, Violet Hour, The Charleston
Take a walk around the one of the trendiest neighborhood in Chicago right now! Randolph and Fulton Market are some of the best spots to walk around. Some recs in this area: - TimeOut Chicago: a great food hall perfect for larger groups - St. Lou's Assembly: a fun, hidden patio with great snacks and drinks - La Josie: tasty upscale Mexican with incredible margs and cocktails - Recess: large warehouse bar with a great patio - Punch Bowl Social: multi-level bar with games (great for a rainy day)
The Lakefront path is the best! Rent a bike, go for a walk, or bring your rollerblades ;) along Lake Michigan! Also get some sunshine and beach time at Oak St. Beach or North Ave.
Nancy and Tom both lived on the north east side of the city before moving to LA. We love Southport Corridor and Irving Park, and our favorite spots are Doña Tola, Diner Grill, Long Room and Toons. If you feel like exploring Wrigleyville, it will be a crazy weekend as it's the Cardinals vs Cubs weekend, so be prepared for crowds and traffic – go Cards!
