Shoshone Falls is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the United States surpassing the height of the famous Niagara Falls. Shoshone Falls is located on the Snake River as it carves its way through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River.

Centennial park - This is a waterfront park down in the Snake River Canyon. Here you can launch watercraft (including rental kayaks) on the Snake River. May be accessed from Canyon Springs Road. Vehicle parking is available at the park.

Boise State University helped bring us together while pursuing our undergraduate degrees. The campus features the Boise River running though it. Downtown Boise, a 20-30 minute walk from campus through Julia Davis park, is the cultural center and home to many small businesses. The area has a variety of shops and dining choices.

City of Rocks National Reserve

The Reserve is also known for its hiking, mountain biking and bird watching opportunities.
