FAQs

Questions and details about the wedding venue.
Question

Attire

Answer

Comfortable shoes with good traction would be recommended, ladies may want to limit heels to wedges or a block. Although transport will be provided from the parking/camping area down into the canyon for anyone who wants to take the easy way down! There will be a little dust and possibly rain so plan clothing accordingly. A button up shirt and a pair of slacks would be fine but don't be afraid to wear you bluest pair of jeans either! You will probably want a pair of sleeves. As the evening rolls on it gets a little chillier in the canyon next to the crik.

Question

What is the wedding venue like?

Answer

This is not your traditional wedding venue, listed below are a few details about the property so you all can know what to expect. -- It is located on a working farm with animals; cows, chickens, geese, dogs, cats, etc. -- Actual ceremony location is down in Rock Creek Canyon, which runs through the property. --It is a pretty steep grade to get down into the canyon. We will be providing transportation in and out of the canyon on the wedding day. --Once in the canyon, Rock Creek will be the main feature on site, it is a major creek that runs through where the ceremony is taking place. It is a beautiful feature but is fast moving and everyone needs to be cautious when near. -- The wedding is entirely outside, we will provide various tents for shelter. Be prepared for being outside for multiple hours.

Question

Can we stay on the property?

Answer

Yes! We have a field on the property dedicated to this option. If you're choosing to stay on the property, you will either need to provide a tent for camping or a trailer to stay in. We will provide bathrooms, showers, fire-pits, trash cans/recycling, water and yard games.

Question

How do I/we stay on the farm?

Answer

There is plenty for room tents and trailers. There will be drinking water and showers and bathrooms available in the camping pasture. If you are coming in from out of town and you wanna stay on site for the the whole hoedown there are trailers in town you can rent for the weekend. Generally the owners offer a option for delivery and pick up so all you have to do is show up! I'll put a link below to the website that has been the easiest to use. The one we like the most is RVshare (https://rvshare.com/) other rental sites include; Rveasy, Outdoorsy, Good Sam, and Cruise America https://rvshare.com/

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome but we want parents to be aware of the potential dangers on the property. --fast-moving water --cliffs/rocks --poisonous plants --wild/domestic animals If you choose to include your children please be cautious of these dangers. We are not providing a babysitter for this event, the choice is up to you to decide what's best for your family.
