Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea made their way to Montana on their travels, and made their mark on Pomeys Pillar. Here you can see centuries-old Native American petroglyphs and a carved signature from William Clark himself. There is a museum onsite to learn more about Native American culture and US western expansion.
The world's first and (in our opinion) greatest National Park. Just a 2.5 hour drive from Billings, you can get there via the Beartooth Highway and admire some of the most scenic landscapes the country has to offer. Yellowstone features Old Faithful, plenty of buffalo, and maybe even a moose or two.
