The Countdown is on!

Our love story began on March 18, 2017 in New Paltz, NY. It all started with dinner at Bacchus, continued with me letting Lou win a few rounds of pool and ended with up with a trip to the Monticello Casino & Raceway. That first date has continued with four-wheeling, boating, skeet shooting, home projects, hiking, apple picking, many dinner dates and a few more casino trips. When they say opposites attract, we are a prime example. Lou takes things in stride and goes with the flow, whereas I like to plan every second of every day. But Hey! We managed to plan a wedding together so it must be a perfect mix! Fast forward to now and we are living in Liberty, NY enjoying every day, planned or unplanned, with each other. We are excited to celebrate our special day surrounded by all of our family and friends!

As stated in our story above Lou doesn't plan things and this was no exception. Earlier on in the week he texted me while he was at work asking if I wanted to make dinner together Saturday night. This was not unusual as he loves to cook and loves teaching me how to cook :) We discussed that we could make some pasta and garlic bread. We went about our week and he mentioned that Saturday morning he had to go into work early because a customer was coming in to pick up a vehicle. Again, not unusual because as we all know, he is a hard worker and loves waking up early! Later on in the day I asked him if he would get out early because he went in early, he laughed and said yea right... I went on with my day, hopped on the treadmill and the next thing I know, in walks Lou. He seemed to be thrown off that I was on the treadmill and rushed me to get ready because now he wanted to go out to eat. I jumped in the shower and started doing my hair and makeup as any woman would do if they are going out for date night! Multiple times he asked what was taking so long and when I would be ready. Finally, he came into the extra room (which I have taken over as my walk in closet) and he said "I have to ask you something" as I turned he had the ring box out and began to open it. He then said "Will you Marry me?" Of course I said yes, but then asked him to get on one knee and ask ;) I think this was the only time in our relationship that Lou was somewhat speechless and nervous and I adored it because I had never really seen that side of him before. He simply asked, in the comfort of our home where we were able to enjoy the moment together. It was perfect for us <3
