Creg has taught me so many life lessons that are simple but make perfect sense. I remember being in the back seat as a kid and he was driving with Amber in the front seat when someone speed past us weaving from lane to lane when he told us, “when someone driving or just acting real crazy, just get way out they way and let them act crazy. It’s gone catch up with them.” A few miles up the road the car was in the ditch, I believed everything he told me since.

Lifelong Friend of the groom. My boy Mook man, we got so many memories we could write a book. From going to the mall and getting banned from getting samples from the Chinese spot, to my grandparents house for dinner everyday after practice freshman year, Mook gone always be 10 toes down. For my granny’s 80th birthday day party he was in Kansas the day before and drove all the way down to Conroe and then back home to Dallas just to celebrate with the family. That tell you right there the type of friend he is. Mook is family!

As I get older I find myself saying the same things he used to tell me. He’s as wise as the old owl, and has a saying for almost ever situation. “Spend some, save some” “grandma used to say buy your groceries first” “my daddy used to tell us I then got to old to be trying to go to the penitentiary” “if you give a man a fish he can eat for a day but if you teach him how to fish he can eat for a life time. I’m just teaching you how to fish son.” To this day I still hear him in the back of my head saying all these things. I’m forever grateful for my dad sharing his wisdom with me so I didn’t have to make the mistakes he made and that’s how families become stronger.
