John and I met through a mutual friend (Shan) whom I, at the time, was working with. Shan & I had went out to a bar. A couple days after, she came to work talking about her friend John was asking about me. Shan then suggested John and I exchange numbers, as you all can tell we did. A few days went by, and Shan approached me asking, "Has John called you?" I responded, "no!" At that time I let her know I wasn't reaching out first. Shan did a dare that I call him (so I did) LOL. Making me end up reaching out FIRST 🤦🏽‍♀️. John answered, we talked for a few mins and he ended with “I’ll call you after work” (he lied). The next morning John sent a “Good Morning” text. We then texted back and forth for a few weeks nonstop. Weeks had passed so I called him, and was like "hey the texting is fine and all, but when will I see you?" He replied with the typical man response, "well when do you want to?" We conversed a little while longer. Finally, I gave in and sent a text one day after work and said, “bring me some yogurt!" (not thinking he really would.) John came over about 15 minutes later (He was dying to see me 🤣🤣). After that we started casually dating. We met up for lunch dates, dinner dates and our first big event was his sisters baby shower together in 2016. While still getting to know each other, we started spending more days together. (Baby John couldn't leave me alone or go a day without seeing me.) LOL...it took me a while to realize I couldn't go a day without seeing him either. Now 7 years later: He's my best-friend, our little one (Lena) favorite person in the world, and the oldest (Tai) Most Favorite Person! I worked hard sweet talking thru those text messages 🤣 He’s all mine now 😍🥰😍

My classmate/friend Shan had showed me a pic of her and some of her coworkers. Immediately when I saw Kedria I asked, “aye who is that?” She went on to tell me about Kedria and I liked what I heard as much as what I had saw. So I told Shan, “aye put me on her, she prolly like me!” So Shan said boy that girl don’t even know you, but went on and started playing match maker. Shan sent Kedria pictures of me and I think as soon as she got the pictures she called me lol. But no seriously, she called me a few days later while I was at work. I’m thinking who calls someone out the gate like this? No text just a straight call! She caught me off guard, so I told her I was busy at work. And.. I would hit her up later that evening when I got home. I didn’t call her, but the next morning I sent her a nice lil “good morning” text, and I haven’t been able to stop her from talking and grinning at me since. We went on dates about twice a week for a few months. So, I told her you got to meet my momma. So we met my mom for lunch and my momma gave her stamp of approval ❤️. From there, I told her I wanted her to be my girlfriend. She said, “I do” 😂😂😂. I’m lying lol. But for real she ended up saying yes! In all honesty I got tired of telling people she was my girlfriend. So I made her my fiancé!On 9|3|23 I hope y’all be there when I change that last name and make her mine 4Life.
