This section of Richmond is great for walking, shopping, exploring Richmond restaurants or touring museums and galleries.
If you're looking to spend some time outdoors, this hike is a great way to get to know Richmond! Whether you start on Brown's Island or from the Belle Isle parking lot, the loop is the same. If starting from Brown's Island, begin on the Potterfield Memorial Bridge, pass the climbing wall and then cross the bridge instead of following the sidewalk (you will end up near office buildings, just keep following the path). You will then get on the "Buttermilk Trail". This trail can take you to Belle Isle and I recommend using your phone to navigate a distance you want to take. When you get to Belle Isle, there is a suspension bridge that will take you back to where you parked. The suspension bridge is how you would start the hike to go the other way.
Located only a mile from Josh's house, pony pasture is a series of trails along the river for walks, or jogs.
If you're looking for a Brewery, this one is one of our favorites. you can bring your own food and it is a great place to hang out! There is a location closer to downtown and one a little bit more west (both addresses are listed above)
