We take long walks on the beach, stare into the each other’s eyes, and finish each other’s sentences. Although, I am being replaced, I couldn’t be more happy for my boy, Josh, and his lovely bride, Nadia. Nadia, being so intentional, one time said to me “I think we would be good friends, and I’d like for us to get a meal together sometime.” We did and then officially became friends till the end of time!

I first met Josh during my most rabble-rousing of years in college where I was looking for other’s who also seemed to be going against the grain of things. That’s when I saw Josh, across campus with his gauges and I knew we had to be friends. Shortly after this introduction, we began meeting on a weekly basis and deepened our friendship. Some time passed , and he became one of my closest friends and was in my wedding. Josh is a forever friend and will never let people settle for simplicity in life. I love Josh’s endless search for both practical engagement in the world and intellectual curiosity. In the best way, Josh can be a force of nature and after meeting Nadia I have no doubt that she will be an incredible partner to help him focus on what matters most. Cheers to you Nadia and Josh!

Josh thought he was too cool for my band but was apparently not too cool to join a group of fake zombies and vandalize a perfectly beautiful suburban town. After being mistaken for a girl by most of the suburban town, Josh was run over with a car by an angry misogynistic vigilante. I bailed Josh out of jail for his crimes against suburbia and tended to his wounds both physically and spiritually. Josh still thinks he is too cool for my band.

My name is Micah TIlford! I met Josh at Fair Fellow Coffee while he and Luke would have that common friend gathering together there. I met Nadia when she came to visit family here in Tulsa at the end of her senior year of high school. Much of my time with these two has been through our time with The Tulsa Boiler Room. It has been fun to finally meet a guy who could convince Nadia to actually date her. While I met Josh pre pandemic, our relationship really started soon after his relationship with Nadia began. So I have pretty much been competing with Nadia for Josh’s attention our whole friendship and losing sorely.

I met Nadia at Jesus ‘20 in Florida! We talked about Jesus, the nations and it was friendship at first sight. I have found such a treasured friend in Nadia!! As our friendship has grown, I have been impacted deeply by Nadia’s love for Jesus, her deep compassion for others and her fierce pursuit to see the gospel go forth in all areas of life. To the poor, to the rich, to the needy, to those that don’t know their need for God. And now I have watched her relationship with Josh match that same cadence of seeing God honored and represented well to all people.
