Question

What do I wear?

Answer

Firstly, please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, the main point of this weekend is to have a lot of fun together! Please don't take any stress to wear any specific thing or source Pakistani clothes, we're just so excited to see you all !! That being said, this is an East/West fusion wedding, and in Pakistan the way we honor the marrying couple is by dressing to the max, so don’t be afraid to wear your loudest, most patterned, most colorful clothing and jewelry, you’ll fit right in! All colors allowed (even white!), and all styles - feel free to wear your sherwanis, saris, lenghas, ball gowns, tuxes, prom dresses, feathers, sequins, boas; whatever! Saturday is fancier than Friday, so really go all out then. If it helps at all, Nadia is wearing a lehenga choli on both days, and Jeremy is wearing a Western suit on Saturday. Pakistani clothing is not required at all, but if you want to wear desi clothes, we recommend looking into rental your formalwear through Meera Meera (https://meerameera.ca) or Almari360 (https://almari360.com). They both have a fantastic selection at all different price points and sizes, and they're highly responsive to boot, so it's easy to reach out and confirm the measurements of their clothing to make sure that whatever you rent fits you properly. We do have a DJ for Saturday night so whatever you do — come dressed to dance! (note from nadia: in the west there's a worry to not "outshine the bride" etc etc -- do not even _think twice_ about this! I want you guys to wear that crazy over the top outfit that you LOVE and look and feel really great in but have no place to wear, wear it here!!!! seriously -- wear the f*ckin outfit! I can't wait to see it & you! ♡ )
